Almazonica Cerveceria
Almazonica Cerveceria is a Peruvian Eatery and Small Batch Cerveceria founded in 2021 (rebranded from Darwin Evolutionary Cuisine). The brewery was founded by Chef Darwin Santa Maria, former founder of Darwin Brewing Company and Selva Grill. Almazonica Cerveceria is a family-owned nano brewery in Sarasota, Florida, producing unique craft beers on a small barrel system. The brewery’s recipes for beer are developed with a chef’s mindset to highlight flavors and aromatics in its beer—creating local craft beer ideal for pairing. The Cerveceria features a full kitchen of Peruvian specialties like ceviche, along with unique, original recipes for seafood and beef dishes.

Calusa Brewing Company
Calusa Brewing is a veteran- and family-owned brewery founded in 2016. The Sarasota brewery focuses on a variety of styles including hop-forward, barrel-aged, and mixed-culture fermentation beers—and classic style pilsners and lagers as well. Calusa Brewing’s warehouse location includes a production facility, taproom, and store, with plenty of outdoor space. The brewery is family-friendly and creates a welcoming environment for all to enjoy. Good Liquid Brewing Company
Good Liquid Brewing Company was founded in 2017 in Bradenton, Florida. It closed its Bradenton brewery to focus on its second location—a brewery and restaurant in Waterside Place, a neighborhood in Sarasota’s Lakewood Ranch area. Good Liquid Brewing is veteran-owned and operated by a husband and wife team. The brewery location offers a full menu of mouthwatering food options along with 18+ beers on tap, ranging from fruity sours and IPAs to dark stouts and lagers. Good Liquid Brewing’s location is very family friendly and dog friendly too, with a large outdoor area to sit, play, and enjoy the lakefront view.

Big Top Brewing Company
Big Top Brewing Company was founded in Sarasota, Florida, by two buddies in 2013. Since then, Big Top Brewing has added taprooms in Gainesville and Pensacola, and the Big Top Brewers Collective in Bradenton, which houses Naughty Monk Brewery. Its taproom in Sarasota includes 20+ craft beers on tap and a permanent BubbaQue’s BBQ food truck, and a food truck rally the second Saturday of the month. Sun King Brewing Company
Sun King Brewing was founded in 2009 in Indianapolis, Indiana. Its Sarasota location is a small batch brewery and its first and only taproom and brewing facility in Florida. The former spot of JDubs’s Brewing Company, the brewery features 18 taps with handcrafted beers specifically made for Florida along with Sun King Brewing’s core, seasonal, and specialty beers loyal customers have grown to love. Family friendly breweries can be tricky. We have two kids—we know how hard it can be to find a brewery that works for the whole family.
While most Sarasota breweries are kid friendly during the day, some may require or suggest no children under the age of 18 or 21 at night.
That said, most breweries are happy to host well-behaved children and have plenty of games to play inside and outside.
